The production has finally come to an end. Phew. As i mentioned to many, the feeling is awfully different from Sing to the Dawn, where i felt like i could go on for more shows after the thing ended. In this case, i am tremendously relieved. I'm actually glad it's over and i look back with no regret.
It has been an unforgettable experience, from 15-second costume changes to ultra-tight wigs to failing (and finally succeeding) to keep pulsing for songs. i cherish every moment cos it has been a wonderful learning experience.
It has also humbled me a great deal as i remember that this is a 100-people production. And i am only one of them. And while this may sound awfully religious, i really left it to God. At some point, i felt like keeping the rhythm was really beyond me. i noe it sounds hilarious cos it seems so easy. But as the cliche but true saying goes, "in my weakness, His strength came through" Marvellous feeling!
The last few days has been (in J's words), bliss. i've been doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. And enjoying it thoroughly. of course, this nothingness is about to come to an end because i took up another musical project, called Pagoda Street. It will be showing at the Esplanade from 4 to 6 August. And rehearsals start tomorrow. Eeks. but i'm only chorus. so should not be too bad.
All in all, i'm happy. Thank you Daddy God.
