We celebrated Z's birthday last night. Everyone made time and were fairly punctual, in honour of Z, despite heavy work commitments. D, who's in Thailand, and J, who's nursing a surgically-altered knee were both dearly missed (but u both are well-represented on Z's card!) Look at Z's tee. It was our gift to her, along with another tee and a bear (named baba-something by H).


Me: So how, u like the tee?

Z: i love it, but how do i explain to my mum the words?

Me: Erm,,,,, maybe she won't notice?

Z: I don't think so....

H: Don't worry, just tell her that one of your friends had a farewell and made this tee for u.

When my brother returned from camp this morning i stopped him at the door and forced him to take a picture. So man hor?

Me: E, you're so cool hor?

E: Ya lor. Like you mah.

This is a great movie. If u have time to cuddle up to a loved one (no need bf, good friend(s) also very good) and u appreciate an interesting script, this is the show for u.

Corrinne May makes me cry. Or rather, her songs do. Yesterday, P caught me by surprise by asking if i'd like to go watch Corrinne live at Barfly. And so i said yes!
Met up with P and her colleagues and friends. Although all i saw was the top of Corrinne's head most of the time, and her voice was drowned out by the crowd, I had a nice time in conversation with P and my new friends. In conclusion, it was a good night.

Barfly doesn't allow reservations when they have an event, which i think is a weird/dumb policy. A reservation will cause me to go for a particular restaurant since i know i'd have a seat. And should i be a deliquent customer, they can always give it up to the existing crowd. And if there's none, it just means they are lousy. And there's no loss either way. Sigh. Why don't people get it?

Anyway, thanks P. For enduring the long wait and seeing the top of her head and a weak drink calling itself a mojito. Yep, by the way, the drinks at Barfly are weak. Yep. Weaklings.

There's something about Cheryl

This week is definitely a pick-up for me. It got off on a good start with shopping on Monday. I was on the way to the bank and i passed a shop having a sale. Here's the purchases:

1. a pair of pants for work
2. a satin-like shirt for work
3. a flowery skirt
4. another flowery skirt
5. a navy polo tee
6. a green polo tee
7. a Gap singlet (from pyjamas range)

All these came up to $75! ahahahhaha.


Other perks this week include meeting best friends for dinner, 3 new CDs from friend, and changes to look forward to. Thank you You.

Final perk: last night i fell asleep at 5pm. And woke this morning. What bliss. But i also think it's a hint that i'm wayyyy too tired during the week.
